We made the first road trip of the year!
Yes, we finally decided to hit the road after spending the holidays with our family and friends in Texas. We are nomads, so staying in one place for such a long time felt very weird to us, and it took some getting used too, but I think we managed.
We left Texas in early February and made our way up to Missouri for Bass's TPLO surgery (knee surgery). We wanted to do the surgery in Texas, but after researching many vet clinics, we found that the cost of it was double what it was in Missouri. Jet had the same surgery about 2 years ago in Missouri, so we felt that driving 800+ miles so our boy Bass would get the best treatment possible was a no brainer. Mean while we would get to see family, friends, and the best part, the surgery would be cheaper! So we packed Poe and made the trip up to Missouri.
Before heading up there we had high hopes for the weather. Coming from Texas we were wishing for warm, nice weather. Of course that didn't happen. Not only did the temperatures dropped to 13 degrees farenheit, but it also snowed. We where freezing! But it was kind of exciting because we never get to see snow.
But why keep reading about our trip, when you can see it!!!
Yes! We decided to turn our Blog in to a Vlog (don't worry we will still do regular blog posts). This is the first of a series of episodes, focused on our travels and experiences on the road. We hope you enjoy watching them as much as we loved making them.
