Your Wedding Day... it's supposed to be the happiest day of your life. Dress, tux, flowers, music, food, cake, and all the people that you love in one room. For us that day was December 2, 2017. Yes, that was meant to be our wedding day, but the universe had different plans.
With everything ready to go, and only T -2 months for our special day, the beautiful island of Puerto Rico was devastated by a Cat 5 hurricane named Maria. Not only was the venue destroyed, and our flights cancelled, but we could not get a hold of our family back home. It took about 2 months to hear the voices of our loved ones, and without hesitation cancel all our wedding plans. But... what now?
Like most couples not only were we planning our wedding but we had also completely planned and booked our honeymoon to the beautiful country of Thailand. We had 2 choices cancel the honeymoon and lose most of the deposits or just go. Can you guess what we did?
HONEYMOON!!!
Who's to say you need to be married to go on your honeymoon. We weren't and had the time of our lives!
One thing we knew about our honeymoon was that we wanted to relax, have fun and not have to deal with bookings, transportation and language barriers. We wanted to have everything done for us. We researched a lot and stumbled across a travel agency called Exotic Voyages based out of Vietnam. Great prices, amazing reviews, but we were still a little hesitant. With all the travel scams going on in the internet it was a bit nerve wrecking. But we decided to take the plunge. And we are so so glad we did.
Exotic Voyages took care of absolutely everything! We only told them what we wanted to do, and what our main interests were, and they took care of the rest. It was perfect. They booked our tours (with english speaking guides), transportation and hotels. It was everything we expected and more.
Needless to say we highly recommend this agency. So if you're planning a trip to southeast Asia look no further!
